Painted in the famille rose palette, with tree figures in front of a Chinese architecture, depicting probably an episode from The Romance of the Western Chamber, a man spying on Cui Yingying and Zhang Sheng. On the rim, sprays of peonies with fingered citrus and pomegranate.
