Notice
The magnolia is a symbol of purity and delicacy. Its very name “Jade flower” signifies its value. In Chinese 玉 (Yù) jade is part of the magnolia name 玉兰 (Yùlán) or jade flower. The flower buds are also used as a herbal remedy and prized goods. The magnolia tree also symbolizes also feminine sweetness and beauty. Similar libation cups were sculpted in bamboo or zitan during the Kangxi period (1662-1722).
