An impressive and massive Chinese Imari gilt charger. Kangxi period.

Its canted rim and low cavetto painted in the traditional Imari palette with underglaze blue, iron red and gilt, with a continuous landscape scene while a lotus garden encircled by mountains fills the floor of the well, the reverse without decoration.
