A Chinese armorial plate for the Belgian market (Mozzoni Frosconi – Proli). Qianlong
This plate is decorated in the famille rose enamels with the coat of arms of the Mozzoni and Frosconi families, with coupé au 1 de gueules à trois aigles d’argent couronné d’or, which is Mozzoni Frosconi : au 2 d’or à un chateau à deux tours de gueules coiffé d’un aigle bicéphale de sable couronné d’or et en point deux épées d’argent visées en sautoir, who is very likely Stampa ; and the coat of arms of the Proli family. The rim is decorated in the style Du Paquier at Vienna.

Of Italian origin (Milan), Carlo-Francesco Mozzoni-Frosconi married Françoise-Elisabeth Proli in 1739 in Antwerp. She was the daughter of Pietro Proli, one of the directors of the Ostend Company and one of the first bankers in Antwerp, and Aldegonde Pauli. The wedding took place in the private chapel of Monseigneur d’Espinoza, the twelfth bishop of Antwerp. Carlo-Francesco was entrusted with a diplomatic mission in Flanders in 1739. From 1744 to 1760, the couple settled in Milan.
