A Chinese blue and white dish painted with a fenghuang. Kangxi period.
Decorated in underglaze blue with a central medallion enclosing a fenghuang flying over rocks and flowers, surrounded by a band of prunus branche, the rim painted with four flowers and butterflies cartouches on a cell-diaper ground.

This famous design was imitated by the Manufactory of faïence of Guillibaud in Rouen (France).
